The Car Show is the pride and joy of Gene and Earlene McDaniel, not to mention all of those that attend. Every year on the 4th Saturday in June, Nauvoo is packed with antique cars and the people that love them. The streets are filled with cars, lined with people, and packed with history. Not only do the old cars bring history themselves, the thousand or so people that are here bring their own history. Many of whom just come to talk about the "old times". You can find great food, beautiful cars, and good friends. Miss Alabama and Miss Walker County attend every year to present special trophies for the car of their choice. This year the McDaniels are hopeing to welcome more that 400 antique cars, tractors, and trucks, with improved show car parking, and visitor parking. If you are interested in entering a car or would just like to enjoy the view contact Gene McDaniel at genemc@tds.net or call him at (205)-697-5652
